This bill is the product of negotiations between the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate and is a compromise between the two versions of the bill that both chambers passed earlier this year. WASHINGTON – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) congratulated 15 college and university students from throughout Georgia’s Second Congressional District who were recently awarded prestigious federal scholarships for international studies. The students were awarded either the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship or the John S. McCain International Scholarship for Military Families by the office of the U.S. Department of State.
