WASHINGTON – This week, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) voted against two bills, the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act and the proposed spending bill for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) covering Financial Services and General Government funding. Both bills, in their present form, are ultimately harmful and counterproductive to America’s well-being and military readiness.
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), the Ranking Member of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food & Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, opposed the Fiscal Year 2024 funding bill for Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA, and Related Agencies during its consideration by the U.S. House Appropriations Committee.
WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr., Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies – and all subcommittee Democrats – opposed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Agriculture appropriations bill offered by the Majority. The bill passed on a party-line vote and now moves to the full House Appropriations Committee for consideration.
