WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday evening, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) supported the adoption of a short-term, continuing resolution to keep the federal government open and serving the American people through early March. The measure was necessary as Congressional Democrats continue to work towards a final, full-year funding bill with their Republican colleagues. The funding bill was adopted by a bipartisan vote of 272-162 and now heads to the U.S.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) successfully directed $7.2 million to Albany-area projects in this year's Fiscal Year 2022 Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. The City of Albany will get $5.2 million to expand Driskell Park's facilities as well as revitalize the Ritz Cultural Center, a historic landmark.
