Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), Chairman of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, released a statement following the passage of H.R. 4378, a Continuing Resolution that extends government funding through November 21. The bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 301 to 123.

This agreement suspends the debt ceiling until July 31, 2021 and permanently ends the threat of sequester, which results in massive cuts to defense and non-defense spending.
