USDA's Rural Development program will help the City of Blakely purchase a new grapple and garbage truck.

The funds will be used by the Boys and Girls Club to make improvements to its facilities in Albany, Montezuma, and Plains.

The Southwest Georgia Regional Commission will use the funds to help Baker, Calhoun, Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, Terrell, Thomas, and Worth Counties purchase interoperable P25 radio system equipment.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Sanford D. Bishop Jr., D-Ga., commemorated the one-year anniversary of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act's enactment by listing funds that have been allocated in his district.
Bishop supported the bipartisan infrastructure bill's approval in Congress. Since then, the law has funded projects throughout Georgia, including in middle and southwest Georgia.
