LUMPKIN, Ga. – Today, Congressman Sanford Bishop, Jr. (GA02) announced that the City of Lumpkin will receive $34,150 through the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Development Community Facilities Direct Loans and Grants Program. The funds will be used to purchase communications equipment for the seven patrol vehicles used by the Lumpkin City Law Enforcement Department. It will replace outdated equipment and will aid the department in quickly responding to emergencies.

ROBERTA, Ga. – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) is pleased to announce that the Crawford County and Grady County received nearly $1.1 million through the Assistance to Firefighter Grants (AFG) program. The Crawford County Fire Department received $577,295.23 while the Grady County Fire Department received $505,418.18 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which administers the grant program.
