Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson (PA-15), Congresswoman Angie Craig (MN-02), and Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) re-registered the House Congressional 4-H Caucus and will serve as its bipartisan co-chairs in the 119th Congress. They are joined by Senators John Boozman of Arkansas and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, the co-chairs of the 4-H Caucus in the U.S. Senate.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) and Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02), the co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Job Corps Caucus, led a letter signed by 199 members of Congress to U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer urging her to continue the Job Corps program.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) opposed H.R. 1, a budget reconciliation bill that would gut crucial basic needs programs upon which millions of Americans rely and increase red tape. These cuts are being used to fund trillions of dollars in tax giveaways that overwhelmingly benefit billionaires and still explodes the deficit by $3.8 trillion.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), voted against H. Con. Res. 14, a partisan budget resolution that would result in cuts to Medicaid, student loans, and nutrition assistance for American families to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. At the same time, implementation of the budget resolution will add trillions of dollars to the national debt which even extremist, Republican critics of the legislation have pointed out.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) and Austin Scott (GA-08), alongside U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock, reintroduced the bipartisan Ocmulgee Mounds National Park and Preserve Establishment Act (H.R. 2345), which would establish the Ocmulgee Mounds and surrounding areas in Middle Georgia as Georgia's first National Park and Preserve.
