Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) hosted a reception at the Albany Museum of Art to celebrate the participants in the 2023 Congressional Art Competition from Georgia's 2nd Congressional District. The annual competition for high school students has taken place for over four decades.

CAMILLA, GA On Friday, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) presented a ceremonial check to the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission representing the $3,941,986 in federal funding that the Congressman secured for the organization as part of the Fiscal Year 2023 funding bill. The Southwest Georgia Regional Commission will use the funds to help Baker, Calhoun, Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, Terrell, Thomas, and Worth Counties purchase interoperable P25 radio system equipment.

The Boy Scouts of America was incorporated in Chicago, Illinois 113 years ago.
