This declaration is distinct from yesterday's declaration, which was in response to the storms that occurred on January 2, 2017.

The declaration opens up potential eligibility for federal disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The legislation continues funding for all government operations through December 11, 2014. The Export Import Bank of the United States will be authorized to continue operating until June 30, 2015.
