WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop (GA-02) supported on three measures to assist veterans in their efforts to reenter civilian life. H.R. 1412, the Improving Job Opportunities for Veterans Act of 2013; H.R. 570, the American Heroes COLA Act; and H.R. 1344, the Helping Heroes Fly Act, all passed unanimously. Congressman Bishop voted in favor of passage for all three bills.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) voted to protect everyday Americans and strengthen domestic industry against cyber attacks by reinforcing federal cyber security efforts. Today, Congressman Bishop voted to support H.R.624, the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA). WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (D-GA) spearheaded a bipartisan letter with Congressman Peter King (R-NY) in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Peer-Reviewed Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP). The funds will be directed to identify new methods to diagnose prostate cancer, develop new targeted Medicare and vaccines, and increase access to clinical trials.
