Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved a $100,000 grant for the Golden Triangle Resource Conservation and Development Area to establish lending programs for household water wells in rural Southwest Georgia.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) voted today in favor of H.R. 3548, the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act, which will provide up to 13 additional weeks of unemployment benefits to workers who are about to run out of benefits. This extension is targeted to those states with particularly high unemployment rates, where it is more difficult to find new jobs.
