ARLINGTON, Ga. – Congressman Sanford D. MACON, Ga. – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr., (GA-02) a senior member of the U.S. House Appropriations Committee, announced that Mercer University has received $224,500 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) through its Emergency Rural Health Care Grant Program. This grant will provide the startup costs for Mercer University’s new primary care facility in Taylor County.

This bipartisan bill would provide land grant universities with dedicated access to existing U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant funding to enhance artificial intelligence (AI), mechanization, and other research to develop solutions to the challenges facing America’s agricultural producers.
