sincerest congratulations and Happy Birthday wishes to Mrs. Emma Brown,
who is celebrating her 100th birthday on Sunday, March 12, 2017. On
this day, the Greater Beallwood Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia
will honor and celebrate Mrs. Brown during the Sunday Worship
Experience.

public servant and friend of longstanding, the Honorable Dawson Mathis.

Superintendent of the Marion County School District, on his retirement
after 30 years as an educator and civic leader. He will be honored at a
retirement celebration on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the
Marion County Middle and High School cafeteria.

outstanding artist and homegrown legend, the late great Gregg Allman.
Sadly, on Saturday, May 27, 2017, Gregg passed away peacefully at his
home in Savannah, Georgia. A private funeral was held in his hometown
of Macon, Georgia on Saturday, June 3, 2017 and he was laid to rest at
Macon's Rose Hill Cemetery beside his brother and bandmate, Duane

distinguished pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in
Columbus, Georgia. An anniversary worship service will be held on

Columbus.
