Veterans
As a nation, we tend to focus primarily on the service members who willingly put themselves in harm's way to protect the freedoms that we cherish. However, we often forget that the families they leave behind sacrifice just as much as our heroes do. These families are affected in countless ways, and we have an obligation to do right by them.

It was announced today by Congressman Sanford D. Bishop that Neighborworks Columbus has been awarded an $87,750 grant.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) announced today that the House of Representatives approved H.R. 3326, the Fiscal Year 2010 Defense Appropriations bill, which completes the Appropriations Acts for Fiscal Year 2010 (FY2010). The bill includes more than $29.6 million in funding for Georgia’s Second Congressional District and the state of Georgia.
