Last week Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) supported the Fiscal Year 2023 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (LHHS) funding bill during its consideration by the full House Appropriations Committee.
The bill strengthens public health infrastructure by investing in cutting-edge biomedical research to prevent disease and improve quality of life for all Americans. It supports child care, Head Start, and preschool development grants.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Sanford Bishop Jr., D-Ga., announced Thursday that the Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $135,424 to the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport through its Airport Improvement Program. This money helps complete the new passenger boarding bridge project at the Albany airport.
