Washington, D.C. – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (D-GA02) announced today that Georgia’s Second Congressional District has received $336,269,998 under the Recovery Act between February 17, 2009 and March 31, 2010. This amount represents a $62 million increase since December 31, 2009.

Decision on permit is near, Corps officials say
Consultants representing the Grady County Commission on its permit application to build a lake on Tired Creek met with federal officials here Friday to hash out concerns raised in the eleventh hour by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency officials.
