We are grateful for his service and protection of the Capitol grounds for many years. I send my deepest condolences to his loved ones as they grieve this unimaginable loss."

"I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Officer Brian Sicknick. Officer Sicknick died after defending our Capitol and the people in it from the violent assault on January 6. We are grateful for his service and sacrifice.
"The people responsible for his death must be brought to justice swiftly. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family as they mourn this tremendous loss."
