CUTHBERT, GA – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) applauded the recent award of a $828,000 low-interest loan to Cuthbert, Georgia from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA). The loan was made through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund program which is supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
"This award demonstrates how — working together — Georgia and the federal government can support vital projects that improve the quality of life for Middle and Southwest Georgia residents.

COLUMBUS, GA – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) sent a letter to the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator to draw attention to an issue some residents in Middle and Southwest Georgia are having when trying to request their free COVID-19 testing kits through www.covidtests.gov.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) applauded the recent award of a $264,008 U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Decentralized Water Systems Grant to the Golden Triangle Resource Conservation and Development Area, Inc. The organization will be contributing $29,351 of its own funds to the project.
