This designation would help protect multiple historic locations, increase name recognition, and draw more visitors to Plains, Georgia to learn about the life and presidency of President Jimmy Carter. The park would consist of four locations: the Carter boyhood farm; Plains High School, where President and Mrs.

Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), Chairman of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, is pleased to announce that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has allocated $2.545 million in debris removal funding to the City of Albany to reimburse the city after Hurricane Michael hit Georgia in October 2018.
Earlier this year, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the relocation of the Economic Research Service (ERS) and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) federal agencies from Washington, DC to the recently chosen Kansas City, Missouri. Moving ERS and NIFA is a hasty solution in search of a nonexistent problem that wastes taxpayer money and will harm U.S. agriculture.
