Statement by Congressman Bishop on Early County Van Accident

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) released the following statement on the tragic accident in Early County:

“I was saddened to learn of the tragic accident involving several members of the Tabernacle of Prayer and Deliverance Church congregation. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. We extend our deepest sympathies to the families who lost loved ones in this heartbreaking tragedy and pray for a complete and speedy recovery for each of the injured survivors.”

“I want to thank the emergency responders from the Blakely/Early County area for their heroic efforts, as well as the people from the greater Columbus area for their tremendous show of support during this very difficult time.”
