Congressman Sanford Bishop Spends Thanksgiving With U.S. Troops In The Middle East

Camp Arifjan, Kuwait - Congressman Sanford Bishop is spending the Thanksgiving holiday with U.S. Troops and support personnel at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and Baghdad, Iraq. While there, Congressman Bishop is meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker, Commander of Multi-National Forces David Petraeus, and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki, and spending time with soldiers, including some of Georgia's own.

"These brave men and women represent the very best of our nation. And on this Thanksgiving weekend, we give thanks for their service and dedication and pray for their success and safety. Its humbling to spend my holiday with them."
