CONGRESSMAN BISHOP STATEMENT REGARDING THE PASSING OF SHERIFF H.E. “BUDDY” GLASS

COLQUITT, GA – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) released a statement regarding the passing of H.E. “Buddy” Glass, long-time Sheriff of Miller County.

“Sheriff Glass will be greatly missed and long remembered, as I know that he served the people of Miller County as their chief law enforcement officer with devotion and distinction,” said Congressman Bishop. “My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to former Sheriff Glass’ wife, his six children, the Miller County Sheriff’s Department, and greater Miller County community during this period of loss.”

Taking the office in 1996, Sheriff H.E. “Buddy” Glass had been elected for his fifth term in 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Colquitt.
