CONGRESSMAN BISHOP PRAISES NOMINATION OF USAF GEN. C.Q. BROWN TO SERVE AS NEXT CHAIRMAN OF THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF
WASHINGTON – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) praised the nomination of U.S. Air Force General Charles Q. Brown, Jr., to serve as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the U.S. Armed Forces. President Biden submitted Gen. Brown’s nomination to the U.S. Senate today.
“With his extensive experience in both the Middle East and Asia as well as his deep appreciation for the important role that NATO plays and America’s military leadership in the world, General Brown is best positioned to serve as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,” said Congressman Bishop. “He has earned the respect of those in the service, espousing the values and principles that are at the foundation of this great nation. Taken together, his leadership and perspective will make him a formidable military advisor for our president.”
