Washington, DC – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-2) today released the following statement of the death of Olan Faulk, Former Mayor of Richland, Georgia:

“Georgia and America have lost a great public servant in Olan Faulk. His work as a rural educator, a community action program administrator, a long-time and effective aide for former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn, and as Mayor of his hometown of Richland, Georgia, are proof positive that Olan Faulk made a difference with his life.”

“He was a great public servant, a trusted friend to my wife, Vivian, and me, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Riscoe, and his family at this most difficult time.”
