BISHOP STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF CONGRESSMAN JONES

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) issued the following statement concerning the passing of Congressman Walter Jones:

"I was saddened to hear of the passing of my colleague, Congressman Walter Jones. He was a staunch advocate and defender of our military on the House Armed Services Committee, and a heartfelt supporter of their families. He was a man of faith, always voted his conscience, and we are all better because of his service.
