Bishop Honors Georgia's Fallen
Albany, GA – Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-2) commemorated this Memorial Day Weekend speaking at Andersonville National Historic Site’s Annual Memorial Day Observance in Andersonville, GA, and American Legion Posts 30 and 512 in Albany, GA.

“Every day, these brave men and women fight for our freedom, Congressman Bishop said. “Therefore, we must remember their contributions and sacrifices not just on Memorial Day – but every day.”
Since 2001, 55,528 Georgia residents have deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Of these 172, soldiers have lost their lives and 1,101 have been wounded.
