WALB: Money Helps GA Farmers Conserve Water

ALBANY, GA – More money will be available to help South Georgia farmers conserve water.
More than $70,000 will be added to $2.3 million allocated last year for the Agricultural Water Enhancement Program in the Lower Flint River Basin.
Congressman Sanford Bishop and the Flint River Basin Partnership made the announcement in front of a crowd of program supporters ton Wednesday.
The program promotes ground and surface water conservation and improves water quality by helping farmers and ranchers implement agricultural water enhancement activities
