Columbus Ledger-Enquirer: Gen. Jerry White presented Civilian Marksmanship Program's Patriot Award

Maj. Gen. Jerry White was presented the Civilian Marksmanship Program's Patriot Award during a ceremony held this morning at 10 a.m. at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center.

U.S. Congressman Sanford D. Bishop gave the award to White, who is the president of the National Infantry Foundation and former commander general of Fort Benning.

White’s experience includes more than 30 years in the U.S. Army and more than 15 years as a leader in the U.S. military community.

The CMP Patriot award, a national award recognizing outstanding patriots across the country
