WASHINGTON – Specialty Crop Caucus Co-Chairs Rep. Sanford Bishop (GA-02), Rep. Jim Costa (CA-21), Rep. David Rouzer (NC-07), and Rep. David Valadao (CA-22), joined by 103 Members of Congress, sent a bipartisan letter to the House and Senate Agriculture Committees urging immediate and equitable relief for specialty crop producers.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) opposed, H.R. 6703, a bill prepared by U.S. House Republican leaders that fails to extend Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits. Without Congressional action to extend the credits before December 31, the cost of health insurance could double or triple and make it unaffordable for 20 million Americans.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) voted for two War Powers resolutions that were introduced to halt the ongoing use of military force by the Trump Administration in the Caribbean without Congressional authorization. To date, President Trump has ordered airstrikes on at least 23 vessels, killing at least 86 civilians.
