WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) supported the approval of H.R. 1530, the Veterans Benefits Improvement Act, which increases the number of judges on the Court of Appeals for Veterans' Claims (CAVC) and provides incentives for law school students and recent law graduates to work for the VA.

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Yesterday, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (D-GA-02), Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Congressional Military Family Caucus, organized and led the 2023 Military Family Summit which was hosted at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center, adjacent to Fort Moore.

The Congressional Military Family Caucus recognizes that when a service member joins the military, it is not a job - it is a family commitment to our country.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. opposed the markup of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs (MilCon-VA) House Appropriations bill. It now moves to the full House Appropriations Committee for consideration.
