Fiscal Year 2026 Appropriations: Community Project Funding Requests & Disclosures
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. has submitted funding requests for important community projects in Georgia’s Second Congressional District to the House Appropriations Committee.
Under guidelines issued by the U.S. House Appropriations Committee, each member of the U.S. House of Representatives may request funding for up to 15 projects in their community for fiscal year 2026 – although only a handful may actually be funded. Projects are restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and funding is predominantly available only to state and local governments as well as public entities.
In compliance with U.S. House Rules and Committee requirements, Rep. Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. has certified that he, his spouse, and his immediate family have no financial interest in any of the projects he has requested.
