CONGRESSMAN BISHOP APPLAUDS FINAL HOUSE PASSAGE OF NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), Vice Chair of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies, released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the Conference Report on the National Defense Authorization Act by a vote of 377-48:
“I am very pleased with the final conference report on the National Defense Authorization Act. Most of the priorities we pushed for in the House to improve the lives of our service members and the readiness of our military were agreed to in the Senate. This year’s NDAA is the most robust defense budget in history, at $738 billion, for a strong, smart national defense strategy that also prioritizes our service members and their families.”
