Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. has submitted funding requests for important community projects in Georgia's Second Congressional District to the House Appropriations Committee.
Under guidelines issued by the U.S. House Appropriations Committee, each member of the U.S. House of Representatives may request funding for up to 15 projects in their community for fiscal year 2023 – although only a handful may actually be funded.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Congressman Sanford Bishop made a stop in the Fountain City today to drop off a big check to one Columbus organization.
The congressman dropped a check for $500,000 through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to go to the Urban League of Great Columbus.
