Energy & Water FY2010 Appropriations Requests

Proposed Recipient: Albany State University
Amount: $2,000,000

Explanation: Funding is being sought to install the Profile Systems P18100 Energy Management System to reduce energy consumption and implement better management strategies for energy, water and other utilities.

Explanation: Funding has been requested for water and infrastructure activities, including a new relief system which will allow the flow volume to enter the collection system.

Explanation: Funding is being sought to provide funding for construction of a river walk retaining wall in conjunction with Cheney Griffin Park, which will provide needed erosion control and flood mitigation.

Explanation: Funding is being sought to support biotechnology and renewable energy research and the transfer of the technologies from the academic research laboratory to the marketplace.
